Ciência 2017 realiza-se de 3 a 5 de julho

O encontro anual da comunidade científica em Portugal, Ciência 2017, está agendado para os dias 3 a 5 de Julho no Centro de Congressos de Lisboa.

Com o apoio do Ministério da Ciência, Tecnologia e Ensino Superior, o Encontro Ciência 2017 é promovido pela Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia em colaboração com a Agência Nacional de Cultura Científica e Tecnológica Ciência Viva e a Comissão Parlamentar de Educação e Ciência.

 O programa do Encontro Ciência 2017 está em construção, e incluirá sessões plenárias com oradores convidados, sessões paralelas e demonstrações que ilustrem a actividade científica e tecnológica em Portugal e sessões de posters para alunos de doutoramento.

O encontro Ciência 2016, realizado em julho do ano passado, incluiu seis sessões plenárias, 80 sessões paralelas, 40 demonstrações e cerca de 500 posters, num total de mais de 4.000 participantes.

CERN and the American Physical Society sign an open access agreement for SCOAP3 | Interactions: "Geneva, 27 April 2017. The European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN1) and the American Physical Society (APS2) signed an agreement today for SCOAP3 (link is external) – the Sponsoring Consortium for Open Access Publishing in Particle Physics. Under this agreement, high-energy physics articles published in three leading journals of the APS will be open access as from January 2018. All authors worldwide will be able to publish their high-energy physics articles in Physical Review C, Physical Review D and Physical Review Letters at no direct cost. This will allow free and unrestricted exchange of scientific information within the global scientific community and beyond, for the advancement of science."
