...'' Paulo Moniz is a full professor at UBI (Portugal). He graduated from Lisbon and then moved to DAMTP, Cambridge for some years. He has been occasionally returning ever since and is also a life member at Clare Hall (college). He has been at the Editorial Board and then Advisory Board at CQG. The author of several books and several (much) more research papers, supervised students and post-docs, research visitor at many places, several times. Prof. Moniz has been serving at conferences committees, notably the MG series. Server as vice-rector, been a representative at several EU (and affiliated) agencies, too. He received several science prizes. His research interest is on SUSY quantum cosmology (mostly the DAMTP 'eigen'line). '' ..🌌🚲🌷☕🍪😎..

2022 - projetos de I&D em todos os domínios científicos.

0.11.2021 - Foi publicado o Aviso de Abertura de Concurso (AAC) para submissão de candidaturas a projetos de I&D em todos os domínios científicos.
O prazo para apresentação de candidaturas decorre entre o dia 8 de fevereiro de 2022 e o dia 10 de março de 2022 (17 horas, de Lisboa)


















Visão Geral e Objetivos

A consolidação e o reforço do Sistema Nacional de Ciência e Tecnologia (SNCT) constituem prioridades da política de ciência e tecnologia nacional que visam aumentar a competitividade nacional e internacional da ciência e tecnologia, e o seu contributo para a inovação e transferência de conhecimento, assim como para a realização das aspirações globais definidas na Agenda 2030: Objetivos para o Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS) das Nações Unidas. Neste contexto, assume particular relevância a promoção e o reforço de competências das instituições científicas e tecnológicas através da participação das suas equipas em Projetos. É com estes objetivos que a FCT abre o presente concurso a financiamento de projetos em todos os domínios científicos.

Financiamento

O concurso apoiará projetos em todos os domínios científicos que se enquadrem nas seguintes tipologias:

a. Projetos de investigação científica e desenvolvimento tecnológico (IC&DT) dirigidos a questões científicas ou conceitos originais e relevantes, tendo como referência padrões internacionais, que contribuam de forma significativa para o avanço do conhecimento e dos quais resultem indicadores de realização da produção científica no decurso do projeto.
Nesta tipologia, os projetos podem assumir a modalidade de “projetos individuais”, apresentados por um único beneficiário, ou de “projetos em copromoção”, apresentados por dois ou mais beneficiários. Os projetos terão uma duração máxima de 36 meses (prorrogável, no máximo, por mais 12 meses, em casos devidamente justificados).
O limite máximo de financiamento por projeto é de 250 mil euros.

b. Projetos de investigação de caráter exploratório (PeX) correspondendo a uma investigação científica ou tecnológica que se destina à exploração de ideias ou conceitos que sejam considerados como apresentando originalidade e/ou potencial de inovação.
Nesta tipologia, os projetos devem assumir a modalidade de “projetos individuais”, apresentados por um único beneficiário. Os projetos terão uma duração máxima de 18 meses (prorrogável, no máximo, por mais 6 meses, em casos devidamente justificados).
O limite máximo de financiamento por projeto é de 50 mil euros.

A dotação orçamental do concurso afeta a cada tipologia de projetos será de € 55.000.000 e de € 20.000.000, respetivamente.

Os projetos aprovados serão financiados por fundos nacionais através do orçamento da FCT.

Destinatários e Eligibilidade

Podem candidatar-se a financiamento equipas de investigação das seguintes entidades portuguesas:

  • Entidades não empresariais do Sistema de I&I, nomeadamente:
    • a. Intituições do ensino superior, seus institutos e unidades de I&D;;
    • b. Laboratórios do Estado ou internacionais com sede em Portugal;
    • c. Instituições privadas sem fins lucrativos que tenham como objeto principal atividades de I&D;
    • d. Outras instituições públicas e privadas, sem fins lucrativos, que desenvolvam ou participem em atividades de investigação científica.
  • Empresas de qualquer natureza e sob qualquer forma jurídica, desde que inseridas em projetos de IC&DT liderados por entidades não empresariais do Sistema de I&I.

O/A Investigador/a Responsável (IR) da candidatura:

  • Deverá identificar um Co-Investigador Responsável (Co-IR) que o/a substituirá nas suas faltas, ausências e impedimentos;
  • Apenas poderá submeter uma candidatura, na qualidade de IR, no presente concurso;
  • Não poderá ser Co-IR de uma candidatura no presente concurso;
  • Não poderá ser IR de um projeto aprovado na anterior edição do “Concurso para Projetos I&D em Todos os Domínios Científicos”;
  • Não poderá ser IR de uma candidatura submetida na anterior edição do “Concurso para Projetos I&D em Todos os Domínios Científicos” que tenha obtido um mérito do projeto inferior a 5,00;
  • Deverá ter no mínimo 35% de tempo de dedicação ao projeto.

O/A Co-Investigador Responsável (Co-IR) da candidatura:

  • Não poderá submeter nenhuma candidatura na qualidade de IR no presente concurso;
  • Apenas poderá participar numa única candidatura, na qualidade de Co-IR, no presente concurso;
  • Deverá ter no mínimo 25% de tempo de dedicação ao projeto.

Como concorrer

As candidaturas devem ser apresentadas, em língua inglesa, a partir do dia 8 de fevereiro de 2022 até às 17 horas, hora de Lisboa, do dia 10 de março de 2022, em formulário eletrónico próprio através do portal de concursos da FCT.

A Declaração de Compromisso dos candidatos deverá ser submetida obrigatoriamente no portal de concursos da FCT até às 17 horas, hora de Lisboa, do dia 24 de março de 2022.

Prazos e datas importantes

O período de apresentação de candidaturas decorre entre 8 de fevereiro de 2022 e as 17h00 (horas de Lisboa) de 10 de março de 2022.

A data limite para submissão da Declaração de Compromisso é o dia 24 de março de 2022, 17h00 (hora de Lisboa).

Avaliação

A avaliação será efetuada por painéis internacionais de peritos independentes, afiliados a instituições estrangeiras e de reconhecido mérito e idoneidade, constituídos por domínio científico, área científica e subárea científica. Cada proposta será avaliada segundo os seguintes critérios:

  1. Mérito científico (A1) e caráter inovador (A2) do projeto numa ótica internacional;
  2. Mérito científico do IR (B1) e da equipa de investigação (B2);
  3. Qualidade e exequibilidade do programa de trabalhos e dos indicadores de realização propostos, assim como a razoabilidade orçamental;

O mérito do projeto é obtido através de: MP = 0,40 (0,50 A1+ 0,50 A2) + 0,30 (0,50 B1+ 0,50 B2) + 0,30 C

Para efeitos de seleção e decisão de financiamento, consideram-se elegíveis e objeto de hierarquização os projetos que obtenham uma pontuação final de MP igual ou superior a 7,00.

Os IR das candidaturas que obtenham um MP inferior a 5,00 estão impedidos de submeter uma candidatura, na qualidade de IR, na próxima edição do concurso de projetos de I&D em todos os domínios científicos.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
Research experience: Candidates must be in the first four years of their research career and must not have previously obtained a PhD degree or be in a position to apply for one.

Academic records: Applicants must hold a higher education degree that makes them eligible to enrol in a doctoral programme in Spain/Portugal when starting at their host institutions. The verification of the level of studies equivalent to those mentioned above will be carried out by the host university during the admission procedure.

Mobility: Candidates must have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Spain/Portugal for more than twelve months in the three years immediately prior to the deadline for applications. In addition, candidates who are finally awarded a fellowship must carry out the PhD at a university that is different from where they took up their bachelor's studies.

Level of English: Candidates must accredit an advanced level of English (B2 or higher).
