''The value of a boundary''
Quantum Cosmology aims to employ quantum mechanical features in describing situations that otherwise classical gravity cannot (e.g., because of singularities). Such description has been based on the use of 'boundary conditions' (inserted judiciously) to extract functions, from which to produce (as a prediction) our observed universe. In spite of the progress, major difficulties remain. But there may be new ventures to explore.
