Contracts with PhD holders (post doc researchers) between January 29 and February 26, 2021

FCT published the notices for the submission of applications to the next Scientific Employment Stimulus Calls for Individual and institutional modalities. The two competitions correspond to the opening of more than 700 vacancies for contracts with doctoral researchers. These Calls for Stimulating Scientific Employment are two financing instruments for hiring researchers introduced by FCT in 2017, following the publication of Decree-Law No. 57/2016, and which aim to stimulate scientific and technological employment in all areas of knowledge.

Applications for the 4th edition of the Competition to Encourage Individual Scientific Employment (CEEC Individual) will take place between January 29 and February 26, 2021, with this competition having 400 vacancies for contracts. The CEEC Individual is an annual competition that directly supports the hiring of doctoral researchers, in all scientific areas, who intend to carry out their scientific research or technological development activity in Portugal, in the institutions that make up the National Science and Technology System ( SNCT).

Applications for the 2nd edition of the Stimulus for Institutional Scientific Employment Competition (CEEC Institucional) will take place between February 17th and April 16th, 2021 and the competition presents 300 vacancies for contracts. The Institutional CEEC is a biennial competition aimed at institutions to support the development of R&D activities through the hiring of doctoral researchers, namely in careers.

Altogether, the four editions of CEEC Individual and the two editions of Institutional CEEC total the opening of 2,200 vacancies for contracts with doctoral researchers. In both tenders, FCT finances contracts for up to 6 years.

A FCT publicou os avisos para a apresentação de candidaturas aos próximos Concursos Estímulo ao Emprego Científico para as modalidades Individual e institucional. Os dois concursos correspondem à abertura de mais 700 vagas para contratos com investigadores doutorados. Estes Concursos Estímulo ao Emprego Científico são dois instrumentos de financiamento à contratação de investigadores introduzidos pela FCT, em 2017, na sequência da publicação do Decreto-Lei n.º 57/2016, e que pretendem estimular o emprego científico e tecnológico em todas as áreas do conhecimento.

As candidaturas à 4.ª edição do Concurso Estímulo ao Emprego Científico Individual (CEEC Individual) decorrerão entre 29 de janeiro e 26 de fevereiro de 2021, dispondo este concurso de 400 vagas para contratos. O CEEC Individual é um concurso anual que apoia diretamente a contratação de investigadores doutorados, em todas as áreas científicas, que pretendam realizar a sua atividade de investigação científica ou de desenvolvimento tecnológico em Portugal, nas instituições que integram o Sistema Nacional de Ciência e Tecnologia (SNCT).

As candidaturas à 2.ª edição do Concurso Estímulo ao Emprego Científico Institucional (CEEC Institucional) decorrerão entre 17 de fevereiro e 16 de abril de 2021 e o concurso apresenta 300 vagas para contratos. O CEEC Institucional é um concurso bienal dirigido às instituições para o apoio ao desenvolvimento de atividades de I&D através da contratação de investigadores doutorados, nomeadamente em carreiras.

No seu conjunto, as quatro edições do CEEC Individual e as duas edições do CEEC Institucional totalizam a abertura de 2.200 vagas para contratos com investigadores doutorados. Em ambos os concursos, a FCT financia os contratos até 6 anos.

Until further particulars become available, if you are interested in the grant for theoretical physics, meanwhile please contact me. 

Likewise, if you are interested in a 2021 Post-doctoral grant that might be (might be...!)  for mathematical-physics within theoretical cosmology\gravity. I emphasize the nature of ''that might be''  grant is for a 'bridge' builder in mathematical-physics and in cosmology\gravity.

Please announce among your contacts as appropriate.

FCT and LIP agreed to promote a program of PhD grants in high energy physics and related scientific and technological domains relevant for the Portuguese participation at the European Laboratory for Particle Physics, CERN and/or the corresponding transfer of knowledge to society. 

The 2nd Edition of the Call will open in September and two domains will be considered: 

       1) Particle and Astroparticle Physics and associated scientific domains; 

       2) Technologies associated to the Portuguese participation at CERN and their transfer to society. 

The maximum number of grants to be awarded in the present call will be nine, six with priority to the first domain and three with priority to the second domain. The grants may be national or mixed grants, depending on whether the work program is carried out totally or partially at national institutions. The granting of the scholarship will depend on the receipt of all required documents and is subject to the availability of FCT funding. 

Candidates who have previously received an identical type of FCT-funded fellowship or have been selected for a PhD grant in an FCT PhD Program may not apply.

PhD studentships will be granted to applicants that fulfil the requirements to join a study cycle that allows to obtain a PhD degree and wish to develop research work in high energy physics or related domains at a Portuguese University and hosted at LIP or at any national R&D centre with a protocol previously established with LIP under the Portugal - CERN PhD Grants Program. These grants will be supervised by a supervisor designed by the host institution and may be co-supervised by researchers from other institutions. In any case it is mandatory one of the supervisors has a link to a Portuguese University granting the academic degree, and in case of mixed grants one of the co-supervisors has to have a link to the foreign host institution.

Caro(a) Colega,

 

A Secção Regional do Centro da Ordem dos Médicos (SRCOM) lançou o Manual “Viver em tempo de Covid-19 SARS-CoV-2”, no âmbito da campanha #RespeitoPelaVida.

 

Este manual visa ajudar a comunidade a manter a vigilância e os cuidados adequados a cada circunstância do dia a dia, para que possa prosseguir com todas as precauções nas tarefas quotidianas face ao risco de infeção com SARS-CoV-2. O manual é, pois, mais um contributo da SRCOM no âmbito da campanha #RespeitoPelaVida. Recorde-se que, face às novas circunstâncias e exigências em contexto de pandemia, a SRCOM assume a campanha #RespeitoPelaVida como um processo permanente, estando a levar a cabo ações descentralizadas junto da população da região Centro. Esta iniciativa visa sensibilizar os cidadãos para a adoção de comportamentos seguros no regresso ao quotidiano, no contexto social, laboral e familiar, assim como apelar à responsabilização coletiva.

 

As boas práticas de saúde pública e a adoção de comportamentos seguros são responsabilidade de todos nós. Cuidar de nós e cuidarmos dos outros é fundamental para ultrapassarmos este desafio sanitário. Estamos unidos neste esforço conjunto.
