'' Misericordia University has been recognized as one of the top colleges and universities in the northeastern United States, according to the nationally known education services company, The Princeton Review.
Misericordia University is one of 226 institutions of higher education The Princeton Review has recommended in its “Best in the Northeast’’ section of its website feature, “2014 Best Colleges: Region by Region,” that posted Aug. 6 on PrincetonReview.com. The Princeton Review profile describes Misericordia University as “a close-knit school” where “people say hello even if you do not know them.” It also refers to the university’s modest size as providing the opportunity to really “cater to each student’s needs.”
MU students acknowledged the university’s highly respected programs in the health sciences, including medical imaging, sonography, nuclear medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, and solid offerings in business and teacher education.
The review also states that MU undergraduates believe that the Catholic university holds true to its tenets of mercy, service, justice and hospitality, and they are grateful that professors “genuinely care about their students.” Misericordia University students also said that the “hands-on experience’’ and personal attention MU provides from professors who are leaders in their fields of study enable them to succeed.
