Updates on EU activities: "Fifth issue of the ERA newsletter The European Commission has published the fifth edition of the European Research Area (ERA) newsletter which can be viewed on the EC website. The issue focuses on how Member States are pooling resources and aligning research agendas to address the societal challenges facing Europe. The special focus article explores the voluntary "Joint Programming" initiative by the Member States to agree on common research strategies in key areas that matter to citizens.
