I am positive on LHC & SUSY. The news on 'mild, still statistical like pattern' deviations are fine. And hinting. If one goes to look for unicorns or any yet unseen 'beast', or trying to reach the (west) Indies or travel North after sailing Eastwards through the Cape of Good Hope (or even let us (as we stand in the middle of the South Atlantic) see what those 'clouds' latitude-wise of Luanda, west-way, are) you follow some rules and some known (at the time) educated guesses: Maps, geometry, ''spies''-insight-talk\observation (yes, already in the 15th century), debris, currents, winds, mathematics, continuity of 'functions' for natural (classical) observables behavior, ... . I do think that the top and bottom quark 'hints' plus the neutrino's 'new' mistery or the proton radius are pertinent that something is (in)out-here. LHC has not been a failure and it is nearing on a new physics breakthrough. The 750 GeV 'bump' turning concrete and ~6 ~7 sigma would have been quite unexpected on our 'unicorn photo-safari'. Nothing was expected 'there' (maybe the 125 GeV concrete value was not also so much 'expected'). But when the 'travel west from southern Europe, keep straight as you can' was sort of proposed a few centuries ago, some (circumstantial and yet not totally connected pieces of) evidence was known to secure a guarantee for 'mild, still statistical like pattern'; plus, educated guesses among educated people were reliable and ... positive. Likewise now, for the recent quarks'reports. I would say quite confidently that this time, next year we will be 'supersymmetric'. Or, I concede, I am a bit of a (old) conservative, so allow\give it instead, say, 3~5 years... And, no, I am not doing any 'Lineker' (Gary) bet... on this. But you can use fire, carve in stone, so that in 3~5 years SUSY will be confirmed.
