Publication on “The changing pedagogical landscape – new ways of teaching and learning and their implications for higher education policy”: "Publication on “The changing pedagogical landscape – new ways of teaching and learning and their implications for higher education policy” November 19 2015 The Changing Pedagogical Landscapes study was conducted with the objective “to examine to what extent government strategies and higher education regulatory and accreditation, funding, quality assurance, assessment and certification frameworks support or hinder new modes of learning, and in particular increased use of technology in the teaching and learning process.” In common with all developed countries, there is concern that the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in teaching and learning and innovation in the EU higher education system are still insufficient to enable the degree of flexibility and accessibility that will be needed for national economic success and the personal fulfilment of citizens. This study was requested by the European Commission to provide a research analysis for, and recommendations to, European governments which would help them in promoting greater innovation in pedagogy and in the use of technology in higher education.  The study was carried out between January 2014 and June 2015. The project consortium included the Brussels Education Services (BES), the European Association of Distance Teaching Universities (EADTU), the University of Edinburgh and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - Barcelona Tech (UPCnet).
